Can we swap some of your rain for some of our drought?
Here’s a PC seedling from Ghio seed, that is a keeper.

It has been a terrible year for PCIs in Wairarapa, New Zealand. We should
be at the peak of the flowering season but the weather has conspired against us
this year. We had a bad late frost and it has badly affected the stems on
most of the PCIs. They have a weak point just below the bud, and as they
come up and start to flower they fall over.
We have also been having a period of bad winds (up to 140km predicted for
tonight) so you can imagine what things look like - ripped petals and even some
The rain associated with the windstorms hasn't been that
kind to the flowers either.
Still, there are a few nice flowers out. This is a seedling from open
pollinated 'Sojourner'. I have a number in this colour range from other
breeding but they tend to be a bit pinker than this.
I'm hoping to have some more interesting flowers later on.
