Bee pods

My eyes have degenerated to the point where I can not focus on the stigmatic lip. A good friend sent me some bee pods. This is the first year bloom on one.
 
We have had sucessive dry summers for the past four years. Last years drought lasted 10 months. Very little bloom this year. Maybe 20% and only 5 beardless iris bloomed.
