Re: [SPAM]Re: [SPAM] HYB soaking the seeds

We are in the East, 3 miles from the German border.
The tulips growers are completely in the opposite direction, on the west Coast, (which in Holland makes us only 75 miles appart.....!).

Here, if you don't pay attention, when you drive for more than an hour, you can easily be abroad !

And as for the Tubergen Company, they have nothing in common with the Tubergen that used to import species and make breaking ground hybridizationg at the beginning of last century.
I was tricked by the name too , and have ordered  irises some years ago......nothing was true to name!
And my letters were never answered. A shame!

Thank you for the information. As I recall you are situated somewhere in Holland? If so, are you near the Van Tubergen growers of irises and other bulbs?

Hello Francesca,

pretty picture isn't it?

almost exclusively bearded, just 40 crosses of Ensatas and a dozen hemerocalles.

(I also have some Siberica bee-pods, but i will not plant them. Maybe someone is interested in having them. Should put the list on the forum.)

I have room, but not that much.
I don't have TB X TB crosses, they are the greedy ones.

I plant the seeds in pots, one cross and it's label per pot.

With the IB X TB crosses, or the Diplo X Tetra crosses, the seed number is low, and the germination bad, so even if  i have many crosses,  when i reach the seedling-replanting time, the room taken is ridiculously small!
With the SDB X SDB, i plant them very close together, and the shovel is very harsh when selection time comes!

Bonjour Loïc, How much land do you have available to be able to plant so many seeds? What type of seeds are they, i.e., are they all aril-arilbreds or a mixture of all types of seeds? and will they be planted in pots or out in the open?

Hello,

I've started to soak my first batch of seeds (6 more to do...) !

I should be sponsored by Becel...since i keep all the empty boxes i can.

They are also very handy to crop pollen, and also for pollinating, carrying them along all piled up, around the garden.

Will start filling the pots tomorrow, with a lighter mix than last year!
