Loic, Tara's Choice has been a fun iris to work with. It has given a wide variety of colors and patterns. It does tend to throw rings. It often passes on the wide bronzie beard and it produces a large number of fall rebloomers. Look alikes show up several generations down the line.
The most interesting variety came when used with a Ghio red. It gave purple & red selfs, a mud/white plicata, white, white ringed yellows, etc.. It gave terribly ugly seedlings when used with Clarence! (good thing this wasn't my first cross with it) Nothing worth keeping.

Hello Betty,
So even if Tara's Choice is powerful since there is only one yellow sdlg , the others lost their bright purple.
The darker one has kept TC's rim on the fall, the yellow one has a bit of darker at the tip of the fall. That's nice.
Here, Angel Heart is putting up a great show, and Autumn Jester is blooming for the 4th time.
Won't last though, early frost has already hit !
hurrah for the summer rebloomers!

These two children of TARA'S CHOICE X AGAIN & AGAIN both have stalks now. Probably won't have time to open blooms.
2152-01 dark purple
2152-02 white ringed yellow
Many seedlings from this cross were a dingy purple. I'm glad these were the ones to try reblooming. the dark picture is from last fall. It has two stalks now. The white one has only one. Seedlings crossed in 2006.
