RE: Re: TB: Happenstance rhizomes

Happenstance has survived our brutal summer heat and has made a big healthy clump.  I probably should dig that two year bed, but I’m too hot and lazy.  It will have to go till next year.

RIP CITY (Schreiner 1999) grew three rutabaga sized rhizomes similar to
those of Bill's HAPPENSTANCE.  This is its first year here, it didn't
bloom, but sure does produce huge increases.

HAPPENSTANCE has been unhappy here since it first arrived, but I notice
the surviving plant parts look very good this year - seems to have
enjoyed the unusual constant rain and cooler weather this summer.
