{Disarmed} Fall Bloom

Tenderly opened up the last couple of days.  Only a couple of rebloom stalks this year.  Maybe more later but then it might be to late for them to come to full bloom.

Tenderly is an introduction by Nearpass, 2000 by Winterberry Gardens - Don and Ginny Spoon.  Their catalog has it listed as Zone 6 so I guess you can change it to Zone 5 since this is the second year it has rebloomed in Denver for me.  A lot of tip burn on the foliage, might be from the dry summer.

 

I also have a stalk on a seedling.  A sib to my 2005 Rebloom introduction Just Teasing.  It is seedling #99YY51 crossed by Sharp Shooter.  Don't know if it will be a rebloomer or just a carrier since this will be its maiden bloom.  Maybe it just couldn't wait until Spring.  Picture to follow.  About a week yet before opening I think.  Night temps are in the low 40's so development is slow.  Already have have some light frost in the area but not in my garden.
