RE: Seedling


Hi,

But you lost the circle part of Queen.  Now what, back to Queen or?  I am trying to learn a little about what the hybridizers are doing.

 

I did my first crosses this year, just four.  Will see what happens with those.  Pink on a pink RE was one.

Attached is the photo of the Dutchman's Dream sib, seedling 99AD34.  I liked the color and bud count bud but it just seemed a little weak in the Standards.  By crossing it with Queens Circle I had hoped to get better sturdiness in the standards, which I did get but also put the reddish beard on Queens Circle which didn't happen.  I did get the bright yellow/gold beard which makes the flower really stand out .
