Re: HYB:Inheritance of flower form

We've been talking about bringing oldies up into modern form.  Well, sometimes one has to bow to the bees.  Here is 04C3, which came from a bee cross on 93B11, a sometime chimera that resulted from crossing TRUDY (C. Tompkins, R. 1964) by WABASH (Williamson, 1936).  Attached are photos of 04C3 in its maiden bloom this year and of 93B11 behaving as a chimera.  Most of you know what WABASH looks like (I can't find a photo right now)  --  violin-shaped, and TRUDY (also pictured) is absolutely tailored.  So you can better appreciate the difference, TRUDY is pictured first, 93B11 second and 04C3 last.  --  Griff
