TB: Ora Burton

Hi everyone,
 
Who was Ora Burton, the lady the iris was named after? There was a black lady from Oakland named Ora Burton who turned 100 years old on July 16th (Willard Scott on the TODAY show). Was it her, or is our Ora deceased?
