TEA LEAVES X MATRIX.
This one isn't much to look at, but thought I'd
share for those of you
interested in seeing TEA LEAVES kids. It opened
this AM, hopefully will
relax a bit and close those standards! Color is
pale orchid with
tan-yellow shoulders striped darker and a faint yellow
rim.
Nice thick stalk, but buds & branches are all jammed up. I
poured a
couple of buckets of water on the clump so maybe the other stalk
that's
forming will do a bit better.
I'm not sure if this one will
turn out to be a "summer" bloomer, or just
very early cycle. Maiden bloom
was this spring, judging from appearance
of rhizome, but I don't remember
seeing it and don't have any notes -
may have frozen out.
Sibling
this spring was a nice golden tan bitone.
We are still in drought -
governor has just asked we be re-declared
disaster area.
