Linda/Scarlett  --  A clue to searching  --  I Googled the following:  extravaganza + "historic iris".  Putting "historic iris" in quotes eliminates the zillions of other references to "extravaganza", or at least puts the association that you're looking for at or near the head of the line.  --  Griff

Sounds like when I tried to find a photo of Cheryl Deaton's " Men Like Me" Iris. 
Sure got some interesting info.

Does anyone have a picture of Extravaganza?  I did a search on Iris + Extravaganza and it is amazing how many web sites have the two words.  Every club on the planet has some sort of Iris extravaganza.   At least I wasn't looking for "Hot Chic" + Iris.  That search took me to the most amazing web sites ;-)

Scarlett  --  I can't tell you for sure which iris it is, but I can tell you that it is not 'San Souci'.  As illustrated in Clarence Mahan's book, Classic Irises, (photos by Mike Lowe), San Souci has golden yellow standards and falls of the same color heavily veined in what appears to be the color of dried blood.  For this one, you might want to go looking in HIPS (Historical Iris Preservation Society).  The white standards, which make it an amoena (in its time probably a recessive amoena), should narrow it down some.  --  Griff

Somebody told me this iris was Sans Souci.  Then I heard that Sans Souci was all yellow.  Does anyone know the name of this old iris?
