As you probably have figured out I am no longer trying to produce a printed Iris Encyclopedia. When I approached Timber Press a few years ago they thought it might be too big a project and had already signed a contract for Claire Austin's Iris Encyclopedia. I have redirected my efforts to the AIS wiki and that is a much more practical way of creating the ultimate Iris reference. It also allows everyone that wants to, to be a part of it. It have a number of your pictures on file that I was going to use in the original print project and I would like your permission to use these on the wiki with credit of course. At the moment the wiki encyclopedia is a proto-illustrated checklist but if you scroll down to the new icon you will see with the new awards section that is developing how topics can be explored. There are all sorts of possibilities, hybridizing, genetics, taxonomy, Iris anatomy, cultivation, natural history. It only takes time and the help of hundreds of people. I hope others will pick topics and develop them. Jim Wilson has done one on pseudatas. Best wishes, Bob
