Have you established any specific conditions for the bucharica? I planted the bulb several years back and it bloomed the first year. The second year it was gone. I had it in a raised bed with the soil being a clay/topsoil mix from the local dirt yard. I believe most of their topsoil comes from development sites in the county. Wet winter, but every winter is wet. I am at the dividing line between North and South

I don't do anything special. They are planted amongst my tulips & daffodils. They are just as easy as tulips or daffs... they bloom the same time too. I can't remember my original source, but it was probably Brent & Becky's Bulbs.
