Re: Re: I. paradoxa forma choshab

Cindy,

Check out pictures 3 &  4 on Dennis's SIGNA database:

http://www.badbear.com/signa/signa.pl?Iris-paradoxa

Those photos are of my plant. Someone added comments
that they are Iris paradoxa f. paradoxa.

I've been trying to increase the number of plants I have.
Two years ago, before it bloomed, I took off a very
small division an moved it to the other side of the pot
(which is very large). Last year it looked poor, but is
looking good this year. Last fall I moved 4 divisions to
another pot., they started off looking good, but I can
now only see two with very small leaves. I think this
year's wet weather may have been hard on them, though
the original plant is looking great and is spreading very
well. I would have thought that removing divisions during
full dormancy would not be at all stressful to them, but
it looks like I'm wrong.

Ken,

Which variety of Paradoxa do you have. I checked the old SIGNA lists
and all it says is I. paradoxa for that seed number. Do you have
pictures?

I'm so happy mine only sent up one flower. I feared it might do
something like bloom out, but I have lots of fans for next year. :)
