Hi Cindy,
Selfing would be using pollen from any flower on a plant to pollinate any
flower on the same plant. Time doesn't factor in, just the origin of the
pollen and the origin of the flower it goes on. Also, doesn't matter if it
is a different plant either, if the plant was propagated from the same stock
(ie. the same cultivar or clone). If they are genetically the same, they
are still the same plant, as far as pollen and flowers are concerned.
