Yes the giant rats with hooves ravaged the garden again this spring. 

They ate all the Juno iris to the soil line in mid March. I am rather surprised 
that not only have the iris continued to grow they have actually flowered very 
well. I. magnifica alba must have forty flowers this year on one clump. They 
are nearing the end of the bloom season  now. I didn't expect to get to enjoy 
them at all this year. Color me surprised.
