RE: I. carthaliniae

To me, it looks quite similar to a blue variety of I. lactea that I used to grow quite a few years ago.  Do you know if they are related?

This is the first flower on a dwarf spuria. I. carthaliniae was grown from SIGNA
seed. The plant is about four years old. It has at least a half dozen stalks so I hope
to get a better photo later. The entire clump with twenty to thirty fans in only twelve
inches tall and five inches wide.
