You are right about what my plant is. I guess âIrisâ is in the common name
because the plants and blooms look âIrisyâ. As for the Genus Iris, Iris
unguicularis is found in northern Africa as well as places like Greece.
Carrying this a bit further, are there any members of the Genus Iris that are
native to tropical climates or to the Southern Hemisphere? Mark
