Hello all,
Just thought I'd share a couple of pictures I took on my walk to work this morning. I am embarrassed to admit that I walked past these sidewalk plantings for about a week thinking the plants were a dwarf Phormium cultivar until I noticed white buds a few days ago. The first flowers on this flush of bloom just opened today.
I haven't seen much Iris proper in plantings around here, but there are lots of Dietes, Chasmanthe, Watsonia, and other irids. Brian Shamblin La Jolla, California
