We were very sorry to learn that Christy Hensler Martin has ended her long battle with lung cancer.

I thought that iris species members would like the following information: Christy Hensler Martin died Tuesday April 16 after a long battle with lung cancer. Her daughter tells me that there will be a celebration of her life on May 11 throughout the day at Christy and Cliff's home, with family, friends, food and beer. 952 Viet Rd., Newport, WA 99156

Unfortunately, no iris will be blooming in our area for another month or so. I have known Christy since the mid 1980s, and currently grow her introductions and have several of her seedlings in my garden.
