Tom,
the only foto I have seen of I. bloudowii (?) shows a much taller plant, quite green foliage and the blossom is more recurved. Colour is deep green yellow with stripes. I. humilis is shorter and more blue-green foliage, the blossoms often with almost horizontal petals, according to descriptions. Apparently it hybridizes with I. pumila. Both sps. should have 2 blooms per stem. Otherwise, Psammiris would seem correct. And beautiful in any case! Maybe someone has some fotos they could share. With I. humilis there are two distinct populations, the arenaria type (Europe) and the flavissima (Asia). cheeers, Jamie Am 01.04.2014 03:04, schrieb i*@telp.com: I got this identified only as "Iris sp. ex Pamir". Just opened today. I'm pretty sure it's a psammiris, but which one? Iris bloudowii? |
