Could you list both the USDA Zones and the Sunset Climate Zones. In our state we can be 4 or 5 in the north part of the state and 6, 7 in the southern part of the state.
I think it might help with states that have very different growing climates through out the state. Carol L. Coleman C. Iris On Pond To: iris-species@yahoogroups.com From: kenww@astound.net Date: Fri, 25 Apr 2014 08:09:29 -0700 Subject: Re: [iris-species] minutoaurea Occasionally I think of starting
starting a document of my experiences growing various iris species
in my climate, but haven't begun that project yet. Putting the
information in the Iris Encyclopedia is a good idea. I'm wondering
if it is better to base it on the Sunset Climate Zones rather than
the USDA Zones. I don't know that places outside the US have been
assigned Sunset Zones, but the zones do a considerably better job
of characterizing a climate.
