No worries, I've just seen thousands of lacustris flowers! The standards typically flare out as in the "hybrid", at least after the first day. My gracilipes-growing skills are poor, so I've only seen a few flowers, but you can see the papery spathe in the photo of the white form, as well as a hint of the weird veins that emerge perpendicular to the crest.

Sorry, I don't know anything specifically about the supposed lacustris x gracilpes hybrid.
I don't mind saying that I looked at it with novice's point of view - the overall flower form, rather than specifics (that I didn't know anyway).
