We have Iris virginica ‘Carl Amason’ growing here in Virginia Zone 7b. It will bloom several weeks from now, usually on the 1st of May.

That is a nice looking flower.  My Iris virginica has its first bloom today.  Recently, there was a bout of extreme heat and the only water it gets is when I water the plant bed.  If anyone has some extra rain, send it here.
