Iris Species Database

I'd say it's a success!  It's coming up on the 1 year anniversary of the 
Iris Species Database in its current interactive incarnation.  It was 
launched in November of 2003.  I think it will break the 100,000 hit mark 
before it's birthday, which averages out to 275 hits (or clicks) per day!

The site is obviously getting quite a work out.  I have taken the liberty 
of posting images that come through this Yahoogroups forum onto the 
site.  I also just discovered what a great resource the back issues of the 
SIGNA bulletin can be.  There's some amazing stuff in there that I have 
been slowly transcribing into the database.

I've been working on the screen designs too, trying to improve the colors & 
graphics.

If you haven't visited lately, take a look at the entry for Iris 
versicolor.  It's by far the biggest entry, and it's my dream that some day 
ALL the database will be filled with this kind of great
