I've never been able to catch them before they split. I cut the toe out of an old pair of lady's hose and cover the pods to catch the seeds.

     Since a seedpod on Neomarica ejects the seeds when it starts to split open, is there a good way to tell for sure when a pod is ready to harvest before this happens?
