Al,
I would think you could store these out of the ground, IF they have gone
dormant. Usually "hard" bulbs like irids, daffs etc. do OK out of the
ground. You might risk loosing a bloom, but then if they are seedlings you
might not be in for bloom next season anyway. Dierama never went dormant for
me (never bloomed either!).
