Subject: [iris-species] Mystery Iris, I. oriienii

While doing research on the internet I came across a
Iris species that is new to me and I am wondering if
our group can shed any light on it. The species was I.
orienii or spelled I. orjenii. The only reference to
this seems to be the wikipedia. For those unfamiliar
with this it is an encyclopedia created by users of
the internet. Everyone can add to it and change
entries. Because there is no vetting of information
one has to always wonder about the veracity.
Nonetheless it is a wealth of material. Although the
name I. orienii will produce scores of Google hits,
they all have the same wording as the wikipedia and I
suspect are all poor copies of it. The iris is said to
be pallida like and from Mount Orjen in Montenegro
there is even a picture supplied of the flower. But
nowhere have I been able to find a complete scientific
name ( in other words with the author attached).
Knowing the author would help to find where this name
is published with the authors description. Has anyone
knowledge of this plant? Close inspection of the photo
of the flower seems to show a bract below the flower
that is not wholly papery as in pallida.
