 I personally doubt if borers are canabilistic and eat their siblings. Kill siblings perhaps, but eat? They are vegetarians with a very specific diet.  Their ability to digest anything else, particularly an insect, would be very unlikely. I'm unaware of any insect that eats both flesh and vegetation, but perhaps there are some.
