We grow 'Black Gamecock' (from Christy Hensler), 'Dorothea
K. Williamson,' and 'Red Dazzler' (all grow like weeds in our cold Zone 4
microclimate). Also 'Mary Dunn,' 'Lightning Quick,' 'Likeable,'
'Plantation Belle,' 'Promised Land,' and 'Thanksgiving Feast.' These LAs
are grown in decomposed granite with lots of alpaca compost. Whatever
water comes from the sky (about 14 inches per year). 'Red Dazzler declines
if it is not moved every 3 or 4 years. Love the seed pods on
LAs.
