Re: Signa Seed-ex

El,

Great!

Before ordering from 08 or 09 email me a wish list and I'll double check the availability of your selections. Then you can place an 09 order and add the membership amount and the amount for any 08 seed as a "donation" on the 09 form. We could also work something out with the 08 form. Whenever possible, on orders from the old lists I send duplicates and plenty of your selected substitutes as extras.

You are welcome!
Rod

Thanks Rodney.

I'd planned on joining when I order my seeds.

I was also looking at the 2008 & 2009 seedlists, but the email delivery of the newsletter isn't an option there, so that would mean I have to place 2 orders before the 2010 seed list comes out.

Thanks for the info.

El

El and others,

The formal seed exchange is restricted to SIGNA members. You may, however, join when you place an order, either by mail or from the website. We have a new membership option, with email delivery of our newsletter, which makes that quite affordable.  The remaining seeds ARE offered to the public via the website after the members-only exchange closes, generally in May or June. You may want to join now so that you receive the winter newsletter along with the seed list.

To answer your question, it varies depending on the number of seeds donated and the anticipated demand. Jim may need to correct me here, but some lots (<25 seeds donated) may have as few as 4 seeds.  Plentiful seeds fall in the 15 to 20 seed/packet range.

Thanks for the heads up, Jim.

I haven't ordered seeds from Signa before, so I'm looking forward to it.  About how many seeds are in an envelope?

Thank you.
