Will, the plant that's present in Italy is the one you see in the page I've posted in the first message,
where it's called "Bekenringen".
I don't know if that plant is the "albopurpurea" or "colchesterensis" or "Benikiren"
 
I hope anyone could confirm me one of those choices.
Anyway I don't own this plant yet, but it's available in Italy through some collecters.

Hi Filippo,
 
I think you mean 'Benikiren' A Japanese import from the 1960's.  It is an I. laevigata in shades of blue, attractively washed and mottled silver.
 
Do you by chance have this clone?
