Bob, Thanks for the info. I plan to order from Arrowhead this spring, now I will be sure to put humilis on my list, I would love a good yellow pumila! Hi El: Although Arrowhead Alpines lists milesii i would not be confident that they actually have it. They do send nice plants and generally are good plants people but their record on identifying Irises is spotty. I ordered Iris wattii from them last year and it turned out to be a very vigorous form of Iris tectorum but I would still like to find wattii. I ordered their Iris humilis which is a Psamiris and these always twist their flowers in a spiral before they fall off. That plant turned out to be a very nice yellow pumila. Yellow pumilas with good substance are rare so I was delighted to see this plant, but I am still looking for Iris humilis(also called I. arenaria}. I did order their milesii but it was too small to bloom. I am sure that it is one of the evansias but I still do not know if I have milesii. Will Plotner at Wildwood gardens offers a named variety of milesii. you might check there.
Hi El,
You might try Arrowhead Alpines, milesii is in their 2010 plant list. Their web is http://www.arrowhead-alpines.com/
The price seems reasonable to me.

I already have my order placed, but I was hoping to get this project off to a faster start if I could and use seeds for backup.
