Silverband is a registered cultivar of Iris ensata variegata, introduced by Ensata Gardens in Michigan. I have Silverband and also one just called Iris ensata variegata. Silverband is more vigorous, has broader foliage and possibly larger blooms than the plain iris ensata variegata. Hope this helps.
