Re: Trimezia in Ohio


 

I tried to self-pollinate the 2nd flower using just my fingernail to gather the pollen & i was surprised to see that it's black!  Normally iris pollen is ivory-colored or a very pastel color.  I don't think I've ever seen black pollen before... on any type of plant.
