Anomatheca laxa has been renamed Freesia laxa. I don't think that it would survive the winter up there, as it is marginally hardy here. I am showing a link to a US distribution map. http://www.csdl.tamu.edu/FLORA/cgi/b98_map?genus=Freesia&species=laxa
