Wildflower Event in Ohio

This event will be of interest to people near south/central Ohio.  It's a wildflower weekend involving nature hikes at various parks & nature preserves collectively known as the Arc of Appalachia.  At least 4 of the nature hikes include Iris cristata or Iris verna.  I'm really excited because I've *never* seen Iris verna bloom in real life before.  Only in photos or in books.  One of the hikes with Iris cristata is in the same location I went last year where I got all those great pics (Davis Memorial Park near Peebles, Ohio).

Spring will soon return.

Why not spend it in the woods,
among the company of flowers?

In all the world, there is nothing that quite compares to the verdant beauty of an Appalachian Forest in the spring. Join us on what we aspire shall be an annual tradition -- celebrating the return of the wildflowers in the five-county Arc of Appalachia Preserve Region of south-central Ohio.
