I agree the web pages are very nice. I enjoyed reading
them and brushing up on the background of the Lousisana
species.

Maybe some of the problem is that people think of it
as "just a checklist" rather than a very nice reference
book. I admit that I'm just starting to make good use
of it. For exanmple, the local newsletter editor asked
me to write a short article on winter iris. I did review
the BIS book, but to provide some background information
on "Mary Barnard", "Walter Butt", and "Magician's Magic",
the  Checklist was the best reference.

I'm not sure what can be done to get the Checklist
the use and recognition it deserves. Do I remember
correctly that you're planning to give the illustrated
version a different name?
