Re: Iris Crosses of Tony Huber

Jerry - I have gotten some of Tony's irises from Chuck Chapman in Guelph. I notice that the beardless irises are not mentioned on this Canadian site - I also have ordered some arilbreds from Chuck. Some did very well (the 1/4 breds).

but Chuck sells then or did last year. Here is the info - give him a call.

I have been a huge fan of the hybridizing work of Tony Huber. I
have some of his versicolor X ensata crosses and they are among the
most beautiful, vigorous and long-blooming of the iris I have in my
garden.
The biggest problem I have up here in Canada is getting my hands
on his plants. I pick up an odd one from the US, but it seems a little
strange to me that I have to import a plant from the US that was
originally hybridized in Canada.
Does anyone out there know if there is a source for these
wonderful plants up here in Canada?
