Iris dichotoma has grown well for me the last 3 years (so far) here in
Minnesota zone4. They are in rich, clay based soil, but fairly well
draining. They bloom well, and the only insects I have seen on the
flowers are wasps. They seem to really like them. Seed production is
quite low. I have two seed grown plants.
Candy lilies have also done well for me here - for more than 10 years.
Indeed I did think they were way too common, and never thought about
donating them to the seed exchange.
