Re: Iris Wiki News

Dorothy: I have made you a docent which means you can do most things such as add pages, edit pages, and upload pictures. The Iris you had mentioned was never introduced has been annotated as such. We now have over 10,000 irises uploaded many lack photos. I would be delighted if you could add your photos and comments on the irises you habe hybridized. I am sure many are no up but considering there are about 80,000 irise I am sure that many are not there yet. Our wiki workers have been averaging about 2000 new pages each month and with more workers that will accelerate.

I am begining to create a topic pages for hybridizers. They would have a very short biography and then list all the irises they have produced. Each Iris will be linked to its cultivar page for description and photos. If you would have a list of all of your and Tonys hybrids It would make my life easier in creating the page that celebrates your achievements.

Subject: Re: [iris-species] Iris Wiki News

Hi Bob,

I am registered on the iris wiki. I would like to be a docent if that means I can add pictures and, if necessary, correct any information on our introductions. I had noticed one error when I looked through it earlier, but forgot which iris it was. Will look though more thoroughly when I have time.

You must send me an e-mail so that I know you desire to be a docent. The first step is to go to the wiki at    http://wiki.irises.org/bin/view and in the welcome area there is a place to register. After you are registered send me an e-mail that you would like to contribute
