Rod, Anner, Darlene,
The spacing between the notches does increase a little as one goes
outward. There is no other sign of damage to the plant. I am wondering if
it could be 'mechanical' due to the weather. These are on a covered front
porch and are protected from freeze, but the air temperature have varied
wildly recently -- from 18 F to 92 F. Also, there are times the humidity
has been as low as 4%. Yet other times, we have had fog.
