I've only tried one Neomarica variety once.  I had it for a few years.  I had a bad pest infestation and I lost them about 4 or 5 years ago.  It was a good grower but I was disappointed with the ephemeral nature of the flowers.

     Do you have this species?  It is an interesting plant.  Something I find interesting is that in a sunroom with some sun, it will flower indoors.
