Re: iris recomendations

My first I. japonica flowers are about to open. I've moved 5 varieties into the kitchen: 'Skirt Chaser', 'Valley Blue', f. pallenscens, small form, and ex. SIGNA 01S369. I'm thinking of making one cross each as a pollen parent and one each as a pod parent (using multiple blooms for each cross). Maybe I'll have some japonica seeds for the next SIGNA seed exchange. Fortunately I don't share the kitchen with another person; it's pretty crowded with just me and the iris.

Iris japonica and I wattii are currently blooming in my unheated greenhouse. The temperature is probably around 10 C (50ish F)
