That's what I was told. Apparently it can bloom under drier conditions. I worked hard to keep it humid the first year I had it and got several blooms. I've not pampered it the last couple of years. It didn't bloom last year. This was a surprise.

     That is amazing color, but doesn't it require high humidity?

Neomarica mauroi bloomed yesterday. This is a fairly recently described species. It's a small plant and interesting becasue every leaf has a bloom socket, although not all produce a bloom, for me anyway.
