I ordered seeds of the "plum scented Spuria" Iris graminea. Normally I open and inspect the package, but I put it aside until I was ready to plant. All 5 seeds in ther package had white Arils, that is, a ring or collar at one end of the seed. Surely I. graminea is a Spuria, and not an Aril, or arilbred? Or is this the normal appearance of this species' seeds? Hope someone can help, I have a feeling I am going to be in for a surprise when they bloom. |
