I was removing dead iris foliage from my flower beds yesterday and accidentally ripped up a bunch of Sisyrinchium by mistake (the rhizomes lifted up along with the *very long* dead grass-like foliage.  At first glance I thought it was a bunch of baby irises growing from seed.  But after staring at them for a few moments my brain clicked into gear & I realized what they truly were.  Here's a pic of them in bloom from 3 years ago.
