Blanka,
There exists a Species Group of the British Iris Society. Might be worth
investigating.

Subject: [iris-species] Thank you very much for letting me join your group!
Hello everyone,
I just thought I'd introduce myself.
I live in England, just to the west of London.
I grow a number of irises in my garden but have not yet branched out
into very many of the species - am hoping to this year. Hence I
thought I'd find some sources of information about them. I woul like
to try growing iris swertii.
I have a small garden with quite a range of plants in it. I prefer
scented flowers / shrubs with scented flowers. My favorites include
cyclamen, peonies, iris, azaleas, all types of bulbs and orchids -
both the hardy outdoor varieties and the indoor ones.
Currently I have some iris unguicularis and camellia lutchuensis in
bloom near the front door and 3 varieties of chimonanthus praecox on
the side of the house - yummy scents from all of them!
I am looking forward to joining in discussions once I know something
about the subject! All tips about how to start with iris species would
be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Blanka Caen
