Re: re: Digital SIGNA

In addition to Sandy's reason for hardcopy, my good friend, Robert Strohman here in Louisville, KY has long been a member and supporter of SIGNA and eagerly looks forward to both the Bulletins and the seed sale list. When I saw him recently, he said he had just received the list and already had his order form ready to go in the mail. He does not have a computer and I wonder how many others there may be who cannot "speak" for themselves in this discussion.  Just something to think about.

I'm a member of multiple gardening groups that have gone to digital newsletters, and several subscription services that permit both.

My 'problem' (and it is mine) can be summed up as 'out-of-sight, out-of-mind'.

I receive the notification/pdf, I file it away... and I never come back to it.  So I end up contributing less to each group and having less concerns about each group.  Until I'm out completely.

Even this group - how many on-line contributions have I made in the last couple of years?  Rather pitiful, especially considering how excellent the seed exchange is.

The hardcopy newsletters force their way into my hands, and I do read them - I'll read everything on paper, even the 1 point text on the dollar bills.  And I have gone through the seed exchange very closely.
