Re: SPEC-X

"Anner; Has accused me of not giving credit to all the hard work that goes into the AIS electronic areas. "

That is not at all what I said at all, you know. It is important to read carefully and not distort by exaggeration.

I responded to one specific post and said I thought you were not sounding appropriately enlightened about the current AIS webpage, and the work that is involved in that outreach. I thought it was an ill-considered post.

As a contributor to the AIS webpage, I had standing to object, and did, and raised the question of how you, yourself, would welcome unenlightened public comments about your best efforts. I was attempting to elicit empathy and make a point by analogy.

I have not mentioned the Iris Register--- or the AIS Registrar--- at all.

I did say I did not care for the aesthetic design of the AIS Home page--the webmaster knows this-- but I also said I accepted that as something about which people might reasonably disagree, and one could not expect that everything AIS did was going to be just as one liked it all the time. I made the point that everything was in a state of continual becoming, and that people needed encouragement and praise.

That is what I said. And that is all I intend to say.

I don't use either the so-called Wiki or the Iris Register in my own work--I don't need them, I understand the hard copy Check Lists and their history and limitations and tend to be wary of secondary sources generally--so that I have no personal opinions on these subjects, and I have expressed none.
